We have made the difficult decision to postpone Look Who’s Dancing Season 7 until fall of 2022.
Thank you, Marilyn, for supporting our community’s most vulnerable residents. We hope to see you on the big stage next year!
Marilyn was born in Bloomington, Indiana on Dec. 1st, 1936. Like many little girls, she started dancing at the age of five. At the age of 16, she was teaching 100 students to dance at Rhodius Community Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, including planning recitals for them.
At age 17, Marilyn received a half-tuition scholarship to Butler University as a member of the Dance Unit of the Butler University Band, 100 members strong. Performing with regional and community theater, with “The Footlighters” in Indianapolis, for example, was both exciting and fun.
Marilyn was an educator for 34 years in the Covina Valley Unified School District. Several of those years were spent teaching drama and dance, including choreographing full productions of Oliver and Damn Yankees among many others.
Marilyn is so looking forward to joining Pathways of Hope in this new capacity of not just donating but fundraising as well. Pathways of Hope is such a wonderful organization which provides hope to so many!
For the past seven years, Marilyn has met wonderful friends at OLLI, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at California State University, Fullerton, where exciting classes have opened up a new world of learning. She feels very blessed to have OLLI in her life and says, “What a great community of people!”
